It seems like there is a nasty flu bug going around and little Jerral is badly hit by it since Thursday, coughing and sneezing and not able to sleep due to the phlegm choking his nasal passage. At the pedi's clinic on Fri, there were quite a few other babies suffering from similar illness, and in cases like this, it is always the parents who suffer the most, typically from heart pangs at seeing their precious little one unwell.
Yet, despite being under the weather, little Jerral is refusing to take his medicine, probably because of the taste. As an old chinese adage goes, 良药苦口利于病. But little Jerral does not understand and kicks up a big fuss, crying and screaming everytime Mommy tries to get him to take his medicine, which makes Mommy & Daddy even more broken hearted.
On this little note, Daddy has also noticed that little Jerral has recently picked up this habit of shaking his head...... sometimes for seemingly no particular reason at all....... Which makes Daddy seriously wonder if this is simply a manifestation of the next stage of Jerral's physical development? Or has Mommy (who recently declared herself a SAHM) been secretly feeding Jerral Ecstasy Pills (摇头丸) as she is struggling to cope with the demands of keeping up with the little terror 24-7?
(PS if you listen closely, you can hear Mommy confessing .....)
