Jarien LOVES to eat.. and he does eat a lot and finishes his food much more faster than Kor Kor.
He has the urge to eat almost 'every' 1 to 2 hour and this keeps Mommy really busy.
Before that. when the baby was on breast feeding... phew.. he feeds on Mommy nearly every 2 hours and this really drains Mommy out.
So, when the baby turns 8 months, Mommy decided that it's time for the baby to quit breast feeding and go on a routine bottle feed. (sorry Jarien but Mommy needs her glucosamine supplement due to her weak knees but with pregnancy and breast feeding.. this has been put on hold for more than a year).
Putting Jarien on bottle feed is no easy matter, almost everyone in the household (including families in SG) has failed to make the baby drink from bottle, and needless to say.. formula milk (FM).
Jarien was so HOOKED up on breast feeding that he rather goes on a hunger strike for several hours and simply refuse the bottle .
Well, after seeking many advises from experience Mommies (especially Aunty Jen and our friendly neighbour, Aunty Jess).... Mommy decided to give it a GO one fine morning!
Tips given was that the best time to put the baby on bottle is during his first milk feed in the early morning when he wakes up.
So here's how it goes..
About 3 weeks back, Jarien woke up as usual at about 5am for his morning feed, so Mommy rushed down to the kitchen and prepared a bottle of FM for the baby with some 'tiniest' hope that at least he will drink 50 to 100ml of it.
It turned out that the baby struggled and put on a very fierce 'resistance' fight with Mommy for more than an hour.
It's really not easy handling a baby with thunderous cries especially in the early wee morning!!
Luckily, his cries did not wake Kor Kor up.. but it did woke Daddy up!
Daddy was very encouraging and tried feeding Jarien as well.
The baby eventually gave in to the bottle (but with breast milk in it) nearly 2 hours later.
and the rest is history....
Back to Jarien's feeding routine, in order to satisfy the baby food crave, Mommy has decided to set a certain fix meal time for the baby... so as to prevent, overfeeding him!
5.30am to 6am: A bottle of about 250ml FM
7.30am: Bread or otherwise Cereal
10am: Another round of FM, 200ml
12pm: Porridge with Vege, and Meat/ Fish
3pm: F-Milk again, 220ml
4pm: Biscuit Snacking with kor Kor
5.30pm: Porridge or Fruits Cereal
6.30pm: Snacking off Mommy's Rice
7.30pm: Last round of F-Milk (250ml) before he dozes off to lalaland.

Oh.. one thing to note.. Jarien can finished off one whole stick of the tasteless and yucky teething biscuit (at lightning speed) which his Kor Kor Jerral doesn't even like one bit of it when he's a baby!
wosh! (see above pictures posted)
