Jarien at 8 months old..

Baby Jarien turns 8 months old on April 14th.
(Well, Mommy is 2 weeks late in posting about the development of the little baby at 8 months!)

Baby Jarien seems to have 'lost' a bit of his weight.
He did not gained any weight and it seems to have dropped by (about) 0.5kg instead as compared to his 'last' measured weight of 8.5kg at 7 months old.
Lucky thing is he did grew a little in height. He is about 66.5cm tall now.

Quite a milestone for the little Baby at 8 months.

He babbles a lots of funny 'sounds and noises' now.
Sometimes, it seems like he is calling 'mama'.
Other times, he would be making 'monster' sounds like 'greeek', 'arghhhhh' in a ferocious tone.

Amazingly, the little baby is able to 'communicate' and even holds baby 'conservation' with his brother too.

He likes playing 'catching' with Jerral.. especially when coming down the stairs.
Mommy would walk down the stairs with the little baby while Korkor Jerral follows behind.
The baby gets real excited and would start moving his hands and kicking his legs wildly.

The baby is able to hold and pick food (especially his baby biscuit) using only his index finger and his thumb!

He is also able to sit in the bath tub without any support.

He is finally crawling now (after several long awaited months).

He quits Breast Feeding and is on bottle feed with Formula Milk now.

He is finally giving his parents some peaceful sleep at night.
Jarien has started to 'sleep through the night' since weeks ago!
(He sleeps from 7.30pm till 5.30am)

He goes to bed on his own without the need for cuddles, or breastfeeding.
(Daddy/ Mommy would say Goodnight to the baby and leave him to doze off to lala land on his own)

He is able to co-ordinate and hold books using his 2 hands. ^-^

He EATS alot! The baby always seems to be hungry!
(Mommy has set a feeding routine for him though.)

Food for the baby at 8 months includes a range of cereals (usually organic), and fruits which includes apples, bananas, pears.. the usual stuff.
While vegetables would include carrots, pumpkin, broccoli, and sweet potatoes (purple and orange). Mommy has also added (white rice) porridge into his diet.. usually for lunch.. and it would be porridge with some slice pork and vege in it.

Phew.. quite an achievement for the little One at 8 months old!
(Mommy would be updating about his breastfeeding quitting and zzz through the night in the next few posts).

So.. that's that!
