Lil' Jerral has very sensitive skin.
Just a bite from any insects or mosquitoes would result in very swollen skin.
Healing would usually takes more than a month or two for the little one, and only after consulting the doctor with prescribed medicines (which is usually antibiotics).
Otherwise... it would seems as if his wound would never heal if treated with only 'normal' off the counter cream or medicines.
Here's a picture of the poor boy with his thigh (and butt too) being bitten again by some insects couple of months back and it left a hideous permanent scar on his skin.
It took him nearly 2 months to recover from it.
He was crying in pain and itch almost everyday before the wound is fully recovered.
